The Television Advertising and Culture Archive at Brooklyn College, housed in the Department of Television and Radio, consists of several distinct collections:

  • the Celia Nachatovitz Diamant “Classic Television Commercials” collection – volume oneand volume two together comprise 87 classic television commercials (about 114 minutes of material) that were created, both live and on film, between the years 1948 and 1964
  • the Fred Niedermeyer Collection, 44 cigarette commercials from the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, donated in 1999
  • the Ted Bates collection, over 7,000 commercials produced from the early 1950s to the early 1980s, donated to the Department in 1994
  • the Seagram Collection, advertising for products of the Seagram Company, Ltd.
